We’re pleased to announce the immediate availability of a public beta of Twixl Publisher 3.5.
So what’s new in this release ?
It is no longer a requirement to use an InDesign “book” to manage your articles – you can now export separate articles, then assemble them with the ‘Publication Composer’ in the Twixl Publisher builder app. This makes working with multiple designers on the same publication a lot easier.
PDF solution for Android App Store apps
If you are using PDFs in your iPad applications, we now have a solution that allows you to use the PDFs in Android apps too.
Enfocus Switch integration
Several Switch workflows will soon be available to integrate with the Twixl Distribution Platform, e.g. to automatically upload new issues from a hot folder to an app on the Twixl Distribution Platform.
Twixl Distribution Platform API for built-in entitlements
Allows publishers to add/update/delete entitlement information on the Twixl Distribution Platform via a web service.
Twixl Distribution Platform Admin API
Allows external applications to talk to the Twixl Distribution Platform, such as creating issues in an app and uploading them to the platform, downloading app analytics, etc.
Twixl Distribution Platform Reader API
Allows custom apps (e.g. apps using the Twixl Reader SDK) to integrate with the Twixl Distribution Platform.
Today we also released a 3.4.14 maintenance update.
