Test Aankoop is the leading consumer association in Belgium.
In their app they publish Test Aankoop, Test Gezond and Test Connect, three magazines that are also published in print.
The app is available for tablets and phones and content is optimized for those devices.
Most of the magazine content is InDesign-based, optimized and as much as possible enriched. Some of the content is offered as a PDF, most of the time information in tables. They also provide different links to their website for online comparison tools, news related subjects and services.
The app comes with a clever interface introducing all the content; news, the three magazines and the online services. Each magazine has its own browse page again introducing all content. Each magazine has its own table of contents and the hamburger menu is used to guide the reader to the magazine archives, to login, and to get contact information and social media.
Subscribers of the paper magazines can login into the app and get access to all content, including the archives of older magazines. If you’re not a member of the organization you can use the app to read free news items and to purchase individual publications.
This app is a good example of what you can achieve working article-based. Publishing your magazine every month and using the article-based approach to optimize the way you introduce your offer and your content to the readers.
